Samsung Mobile is to launch its latest "outdoor" mobile phone Samsung Marine B210 in India. The company claims the phone to withstand rough handling and to have good water resistance.The phone is the first of it’s kind to be released in Indian market.
The B2100 is encased in an anti-shock urethane material, which enables it to withstand bumps, bangs, scrapes and even dust and water. The phone has got IP57 certification and is resistant to water up to one meter deep for a 30 minute span. It is also capable of withstanding heavy rain, fog, humidity, sand and extremely hot and cold temperatures, etc. It is tested under specifications defined by the U.S. Department of Defense.
The phone has got a basic 1.3 megapixel camera, camcorder, FM radio, a music player and expandable memory (up to 8GB). Loud external speakers, noise cancellation and a flash light ,Bluetooth and USB support are some additional features. It is available in two color options red and green.
