Firefighting has been an area where fairly little new technology has been applied over the past decade, if one compares it with other industries.
Now, it would be incorrect to say that there has been no advancements in this field, just that the new applied technologies have not really stolen the limelight at any point as far as we can recall.
But along comes inventor Lars Larsson, and changes the rules ever so slightly.
Firefighters will in future be able to approach a fire from 'a different angle' - if one could put it that way. A new type of technology developed in Sweden, called the 'Cobra', will litterally help firefighters to stay outside the line of fire - pardon the punn. The new technology may very well replace many of the old heavy 'fire-hoses' over time, which firefighters have used until now.
