Dell announces 13z inspiron Series notebooks

Dell has announced the release of new compact notebook inspiron 13Z that ccomes with a CULV Processor joining 11z,14z and 15z.The new Dell inspiron series is based on the latest coming Microsoft Windows 7Home Premium 64 bit OS.The basic configuration of Dell Inspiron 13z notebook is an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a clock speed of 1.3 or 1.4 GHz, an nVidia GeForce G105M or an Intel GMA X4500MHD GPU, a 2GB to 4GB RAM, and a 160GB to 500GB hard drive.

It comes in capacities of 250GB and 320GB and is backed up by a 5 year warranty..Western Digital currently manufactures a wide range of products for both consumer and enterprise applications.The Westerndigital My Password Elite supports 256-bit hardware-based encryption and is capable of automatic and continuous backup with WD SmartWare software. Comes with metallic colors, Metallic Red, Metallic Blue and Charcoal Metallic, are available.Western Digital My Passport Elite is priced at $119.99 for 320GB, $159.99 for 500GB and $169.99 for 640GB.

Features and Specifications

The MyPassport Elite sports a USB 2.0 interface for a transfer rate of up to 480 Mbps and is backwards compatible with good ole USB 1.1 in a pinch. The unit measures 15mm x 126.15mm x 79.5mm making it one of the slimmest portable drives that I’ve come across to date and weighs in at 0.18kgs. Inside the unit is one of Western Digital’s GreenPower 2.5 inch SATA 5400RPM hard drives with a 2MB buffer in either 250GB or 320GB (as tested) keeping power drain to a minimum. It’ll be interesting to see if this has an impact on performance.

The MyPassport Elite comes in four colours which include Blue/Red/Brown and Silver (as tested) and is coated in a soft-touch finish that prevents it from slipping out of your hand. The unit is compatible with most modern Mac and Windows systems, but comes pre-formatted for Windows

Sanyo IntroducesLP-XM150 and LP-XM100 3LCD projectors

Sanyo introduces new LP-XM150 and LP-XM100 3LCD projectors designed for high brightness and high performance.These new projectors provide the respective brightness of 6000 and 5000 lumens, although they offer similar specifications, including a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, a 7W Mono speaker, Ethernet and HDMI connectivity and a 1000:1 contrast ratio.

Sony VAIO CW Series Notebook

Sony introduced new vaio CW series notebook features a 14 inch with a wide screen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio in a thin and light chasis.This new CW Series comes with various colors , blue,pink,red,black and white.The notebook features a Blue Ray Disk drive and also has a big screen HDTV with HDMI Output and also comes with an Nvidia GeForce graphics card.There’s also an ExpressCard 34 slot, three USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, a couple of memory card slots, audio in/out and a webcam. Storage is up to 500GB (there’s no SSD option) while RAM is up to 8GB, and you can spec up to a 2.80GHz Intel Centrino 2 CPU. Color choices include black, blue, white, pink and the rather fetching red shown above.

The whole thing measures 13.44 x 1.09-1.52 x 9.18 inches and weighs 5.3lbs. The Sony VAIO CW Series is available to preorder now, priced from $799.99, and will begin shipping later in October.

German Headphone manufacturer Ultrasone Inc introduced new Headphone Ultrazone HFI-2400 Open-Backed Headphone.The new HFI 2400 features 40mm gold-plated drivers provides the finest of three-dimensional sound thanks to Ultrasone’s patented S-Logic™ technology. MU Metal shielding is designed to help reduce the amount of magnetic radiation by up to 98% compared to standard headphones. The drivers are built with 70 Ohm impedance and produce a frequency range of 10Hz – 25kHz, with a sound pressure level of 94dB.

Users can pre-order the headset from the company’s website for $295, with shipment expected sometime later this month or in November. The package includes a removable 3m cable with a 6.3mm gold-plated stereo plug, an Ultrasone demo CD and a velvet carrying bag.

2010 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid

Toyota introduces its new Hybrid car Tayota Pirus - the first Toyota vehicle brand that uses a lithium-ion battery as the drive battery.And this new model has an amazing fuel economy of 50 mpg ie at least 55 Km to its name."That is real-world driving," Toyota’s national alternative-fuel vehicle manager in the U.S., Bill Reinert, revealed to Automotive News. "I ask my guys to drive them as you drive your normal Prius."

As for which model will be used for Toyota’s upcoming plug-in hybrid, company spokesman John Hanson explained that "it would make sense” to do it with a Prius but said any hybrid model is a possible candidate.

Toyota’s first mass produced plug-in hybrid is expected to on sale in 2010 but the company plans to start U.S. trials of 150 Prius plug-ins later this year. The vehicles will test several different lithium-ion battery designs that will be teamed with a 1.8L four-cylinder engine.

Gemballa GT 750 Aero 3 Sport Exclusive

The crazy car guys at Gemballa are at it again, having one upped their previous GT 600 tuning package for the powerful Porsche Cayenne Turbo. This time Gemballa is calling the modified ride GT 750, hinting at the boosted Cayenne’s additional 150 HP under the hood.

If you are familiar with Gemballa’s line of high performance Cayennes then the flared arches and oversized 911 Turbo style intakes in the front bumper should be immediately recognizable, however one small detail that you might overlook is that the Magic White paint on the hood hides the GT750’s large central vent that accompanies the two standard slits. The front bumper also has a pair of fog lamps cleverly hidden behind a black screen that makes them look more discreet, while the wings on either side of the unit transition nicely into the bulging front fenders. On the inside, Aero 3 Sport Exclusive is upgraded with a few fine touches like SPS bucket seats front and rear with color matching suede inserts and carbon fiber trim. The in car entertainment consists of one screen in the middle of the dash up front and a trio of flat black monitors mounted in the headrests and rear tunnel for the back seat passengers. Continuing up the rear divider is a refrigerated compartment that is perfect for keeping some bubbly on ice, after all this is the exclusive model.

The less glamorous and more function part of the new Gemballa GT 750 consists of an electronic lowering module that manipulates the stock air ride suspension to eliminate the gap between the boxed fenders the new 23 inch Gemballa racing wheels that house the Gemballa brake system. The stoppers consist of massively huge multi piston calipers both front and rear as well as cross drilled and slotted rotors all around. However under the hood lies possibly the single most important element of the GT 750, a twin turbocharged Porsche tuned V8 modified with Gemballa’s 750 HP engine kit that transforms this luxury sport utility vehicle into a fire breathing go anywhere limousine.
