Samsung Introduces 4000 and 5000 series LED TVs in India

Samsung has launched the new 4000 and 5000 series of LED TV models in Indian Market. The new additions in 4000 and 5000 series comes with 22-inch and 26-inch respectively with an affordable price of RS 25,000 /-. Both 4000 and 5000 series of LED TVs comes with high-end LED TV series like full HD support, high dynamic contrast ratio, Allshare, Anynet, HDMI ports and Touch of Color (ToC) design.LED TVs differ from LCD TVs as they use LEDs as their primary light source, rather than traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL). This offers many benefits over traditional LCD TVs that include ultra-high contrast ratios, slim form factor and reduced power consumption. Samsung's 6200, 6900 series come with the "AllShare" feature that allows users to wirelessly share movies, photos and music through a single device - the Samsung LED TV. They also come with four HDMI ports. The Series 4000 and Series 5000 stand out on the looks front and feature a crystalline appearance.

Samsung's new range of LED TVs now includes 13 models across four series. The price range of these TVs range from Rs. 25,000 for the 22-inch ones to Rs. 200,000 for the high-end ones.

LG has introduced two new LX series 3D HDTV, LX9900 and LX6900 based on active shutter 3D technology. Sony 3D Television To Be Released In 2010

It seems Sony has decided to turn fiction into reality - in more ways than one. At a press conference in Berlin, Germany, Sony Corporation announced that it plans to lead the way in entertainment by bringing 3D to the Home in 2010. The corporate giant said it plans to continue its efforts to create both attractive 3D content as well as hardware, and also provide new forms of 3D enjoymentSony's 3D compatable "Bravia" LCD TV incorporates what is known as frame sequential display and active-shutter glass systems. This, together with Sony's propriety high frame rate technology, enables reproduction of full High Definition, high quality 3D images. Sony believes this will form the centerpiece of Sony's 3 Dimensional experience at home. Sony will also develop additional 3D compatability into more of its devices, such as Blu-ray Disc products, VAIO and Playstation 3, which will provide multiple ways for users to enjoy 3D entertainment.

Sony has been at the forefront of developing 3D hardware products for shooting as well as producing 3D movies, and according to the company, 3D screens are increasing rapidly, with an expected growth to about 7,000 units by the end of 2009. It seems 3D entertainment is definitely gathering momentum, with companies such as Sony investing in, and almost "steering" the entertainment industry in that direction, with gaming eventually also moving towards 3D, giving users the ability to interact with games, instead of just "playing". Alhough 3D is nothing new, with many people having already watched a 3D movie at the cinema at some point in time, it certainly is still fairly new in terms of home entertainment. So, 2010 will be the year to look forward to for this type of technology. The question just remains: Will production of 3D television programs also catch on quickly, or will it take longer? I suppose it all depends on the actual difference in cost of production between "normal" programmes, and those shot in 3D

LG introduces new 15-inch AM-OLED TV

LG Electronics,Korea announced that they are going to launch a 15-inch TV using organic display technology next month, the largest commercial model so far.Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AM-OLED) displays, which use self-glowing materials, have better picture quality, consume less power and are thinner than widely used liquid crystal displays (LCD) that need backlight units. LG’s 15-inch OLED TV will obviouly offer a large screen that Sony’s 11-inch XEL-1, the world’s first OLED TV.Now the LG, the world’s second-biggest TV brand, said in a statement that it would be unveiling a 15-inch AM-OLED TV at the IFA 2009 consumer electric show in Berlin in September.

Sharp's new Aquos DX2 HDTV with Blue-Ray Player

Now a days devices offering compatibility with blue ray players is increasing rapidly.Sharp Japan introduces its new Aquos Dx2 Series HDTVs that come integerated with a Blue-Ray player.The size of this DX2 series ranges from 26 inches to 52 inches.

The range kicks off with two HD-Ready sets, the LC-26DX2 and LC-32DX2, packing 1,366 x 768 resolution panels, then rises through the Full HD LC-40DX2, LC-46DX2 and LC-52DX2 each with 1,920 x 1080 panels. Acer has released its new high definition monitor. The new monitor has some noticeable changes from it’s predecessors in H235H series, the name given by Acer to it’s High definition range of monitors.

Sanyo PLC-WXE45 projector with short focal length lens introduced

Sanyo announces the inclusion of the PLC-WXE45 projector to its wide range of LCD projectors. The notable features of this projector are a full WXGA resolution, short focal length lens, blackboard and color board modes, security features, networking capability closed captioning and an amazing design that saves space.

It projects a full 80-inch image from a distance of only 34-inches with its short focal length lens and on combining it with the unit’s small dimensions you can use it virtually anywhere even in smaller venues. It offers full 1280 x 800 (16:10) resolution and is capable of projecting high definition images from cable/satellite or DVD sources. It works with both Macs and PCs.
