Sony announced a new surround sound system specifically designed for the Sony PS3.The Sony CECH-ZVS1 Surround Sound System will ship this Fall for $199.The Sony CECH-ZVS1 Surround Sound System utilizes Sony's S-Force PRO Front Surround Sound that generates rich realistic surround sound over one front speaker.

Delivering a dynamic sound environment with audio virtually coming from all directions, the Surround Sound System will immerse players into a cinema-like experience in the living room, making them feel like they are actually in the game or movie itself.

The Surround Sound System CECH-ZVS1 comes with two audio inputs − an optical audio input for connecting high-end entertainment systems including PS3, and an analog audio input for connecting portable devices like the PSP system to enjoy listening to music in the living room. The form factor of the system features a sleek and casual design that matches perfectly with the PS3 system, and delivers dynamic sound without the physical space required by a traditional home theater system.
The PS3 speaker system measures 720 mm × 85 mm × 87 mm.

Cisco Valet Wireless Routers with Flip’s simplicity-in-design

Cisco Valet Cisco announced its new Valet wireless routers that combines easy home wireless networking with Flip’s simplicity-in-design. The Valet routers support WiFi 802.11n standard and are also compatible with 802.11b/g. They have internal antennas. There are two models, the Valet (M10) for small to medium-sized homes and the Valet Plus (M20) for bigger homes. The former has four 10/100 Ethernet ports while the latter gets four Gigabit LAN ports. Cisco also launches the Valet Connector (AM10) USB WiFi adapter that adds WiFi capability to older computers.

All these Valet products come with the USB Easy Setup Key, which is loaded with Cisco Connect software for PC and Mac for easy wireless network setup. They are now available at Amazon.com:

NVIDIA has posted a video of Internet Explorer 9 which is built to fully support graphics processors (GPUs). Obviously, the NVIDIA shows that life is indeed better with a GPU (here it's an Ion Netbook, versus a non-Ion netbook. Ion is NVIDIA's offering for the Netbook segment). Although this is clearly not unbiased, it is true that stuff like mapping and possibly casual games could benefit from the usage of graphics processors. NVIDIA believes that HTML5 will increase such usage pattern and it looks like the company stands ready to benefit from that windfall - if and when it actually happens.
