New 10 times faster Bluetooth Wireless Technology from Bluetooth SIG.

Bluetooth 3.0 General Specifications
The new version of the Bluetooth Wireless Technologyis said to have transfer speeds of approximately 24 Mbs.This is 10 times faster than the current incranation.ie,whether it be a laptop or a mobile phone transfer datafile like photos and videos upto 10 times faster ,yet say less power

The new version will be BT3.0 + HS it should be considerably faster due to the inclusion of the 802.11 PAL (Protocol Application Layer). This is the same protocol used by WiFi Devices.It is estimated thatBluetooth 3.0 + HR should be available within about a year, so we should see the device making its way onto the market during, or just after, the 1st quarter of 2010.The high speed version of Bluetooth,called Bluetooth-3,is currently being defined using the WiMedia UWB standard.

We are excited to expand the possibilities of the PAN.”
