Acer AspireRevo small PC with NVIDIA ION unveiled


Revolutionizing the form factors of PCs and setting a standard for small ones, NVIDIA and Acer have introduced the all new Acer AspireRevo which happens to be the world’s first full-featured small PC equipped with NVIDIA ION graphics.

Being packed with the NVIDIA ION graphics, AspireRevo promises to deliver a performance that is 5-10 times faster than traditional PCs with integrated graphics.

“The AspireRevo is small and quiet enough to go anywhere, yet big enough to handle all the needs of your digital lifestyle,” said Gianpiero Morbello, corporate vice president of marketing for Acer. “It’s perfectly suited for the living room, because NVIDIA ION provides a brilliant graphics experience with digital photos, watching video, and playing family-friendly games.”

The small PC runs on Windows Vista Home Premium and delivers 1080p HD video with true-fidelity 7.1 audio. It offers DirectX 10 graphics with advanced digital display connectivity and accelerated video enhancement and transcoding via the NVIDIA Cuda technology.

With the help of an external Blu-ray movie player, AspireRevo can let you enjoy Blu-ray movie along with HD movie trailers owing to its high-graphics performance. And as Dan Vivoli, senior vice president of marketing at NVIDIA, it can also “clean up jerky, dim cell phone videos for internet streaming.”

The small PC is basically aimed at suffice the user activities like watching high definition video, gaming, sharing digital photos, surfing the web, and other such tasks especially for media savvy individuals.

The AspireRevo claims to be more energy efficient than traditional desktop systems and features 6 USB ports, HDMI, Ethernet, eSATA storage, a four-in-one card reader and a VGA connection.
