Nintendo releases new version of Mario

Nintendo in it’s press conference yesterday announced release of New Super Mario Bros, a new game in it’s classic Mario series for the Wii .The new game will be a remake of the classic DS game with Wii-specific features.The game involves 4 players roaming on the screen at a time in an environment that looks fresh, clean, and fun.

A new powerup has been added to the game:the propeller suit,Which allows multiplayer gaming. With the suit and a quick shake of the controller, your character shoots up into the air and floats slowly back to the ground. You can even activate it in midair, which means you can avoid previously terminal falls into deep, scary pits.

The release date and other details are not released as for now.

Microsoft unveils New Powerful Xbox 360 Gaming Technology

Microsoft introduced an new technology into their powerful Xbox gaming console.At a star-studded event at the annual E3 video game conference that drew appearances by Paul McCartney and Steven Spielberg, the company unveiled "Project Natal," which uses a camera to track a user's movements via full skeletal mapping. It also recognizes voices and vocal commands.

Perhaps with an eye on the economy, Don Mattrick, senior vice president of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business, said the "Natal" technology can refresh the gaming experience without making consumers buy a new device, which typically costs $250 to $500.

The system makes it easier for a player to interact with a character on screen, and even has the ability to show pictures and information to other Xbox 360 players via the internet.The technology uses full body gesture tracking.If we understand this console correctly ,playing a game like tennis ,on your Xbox360 in future,may prove to be not only a source of entertainment,but also a good dose of healthy excersice.

Battlefield 1943 from Electronic Arts

Electronic Arts has announced it’s download-only first-person shooter game Battlefield 1943 to be released on July 8th and 9th on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network respectively.

The Battlefield 1943 is a multiplayer game where upto 24 players can play in a match,spanning across two game modes and four maps.Developers DICE are using technology from the Battlefield: Bad Company franchise that allows for destructible environments and "vehicular warfare".

Story line of the game is set around World War II.The game comes with four island-themed maps,which offer traditional conquest gameplay mode and one that does something altogether different.Players can choose to play as the U.S. Marines or the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. The game is priced at $15. Battlefield 1943 will also release on PCs in September.

Microsoft launches Kodu Game tool for Xbox Live

Microsoft has launched Kodu Game Lab, a tool that allows users to create their own video games on Xbox Live.

Kodu is a simple, game-building toolset where players can access 200 programming features using an image-based creation menu and an Xbox 360 controller.It’s purpose of design is to serve as a learning tool for children.

The Kodu Game Lab includes "a bridge and path builder,a terrain editor to build unique playgrounds, co-op gameplay for up to four players and 20 different characters with a range of abilities." The toolset is available in Xbox Live's Community Games Channel for $5.

Call Of Juarez

Bound in Blood's setting of the American Civil War isn't particularly common for videogames. Perhaps the odd RTS game has focused on the period previously, but FPS titles set in the time of Abe Lincoln aren't exactly two-a-penny. There are a few other Spaghetti Western mimicking shooters but they represent a niche gaming genre at best, which is perhaps a touch surprising when you consider how perfectly the gun-slinging action of a Western should fit the shooter game mould.The plot for the game once again centres around the lost treasure of Juarez, supposedly a massive hoard of Aztec gold. Ray and Tommy, who start the game as soldiers in the American Civil War, decide to try and salvage the hidden fortune after stumbling across some information in the course of duty. The hunt for the gold quickly becomes an obsession for the brothers, naturally – one which ends semi-tragically in the finale to the first Call of Juarez.
