Linux Networking Commands: lsof

LSOF command is used to find the status of your machineie, for revealing information about network sockets, familar to netstat command. This command saves a lot of time for the admin to handle and also provides the right direction when trouble shooting what direction your machine is up to. The below are the some examples of this command:

Example:

Show all open TCP files - Will return what service is running, who is running it, the process ID and the connections on all TCP ports:

# lsof -i TCP

Show open TCP files on port 80 -

# lsof -i TCP:80

You can change TCP to UDP and narrow down your requests to very specific items you want to target (i.e. is there an established connection from xyz.somesite.com?).

Sony Ericsson has launched its latest Android smartphone Xperia X8 in the Indian Markets. Later, the Xperia was launched in June 2010 in Singapore. The Xperia X8 is also coming with the same standards as its predecessors have, ie  which is positioned slightly below the Xperia X10 range (which includes the flagship Xperia X10, the X10 Mini and the Mini PRO) has been priced just under the Rs. 14k mark (Rs.13,990) to be precise. Cpanel Help- How to extract a zip archive via Cpanel?

You can upload a zip file to cPanel using the cPanel option "File Manager", the below steps explains you, how quicker and efficient the option is



Step1. Login to cpanel, click on file manager option

Step 2. Browse the location, where you want to upload your zip file

Step 3. By clicking the browse button, upload the zip file .

 



Step 4. Select the upload file and click on "extract icon" on the top of the page

 

[After you have clicked on "extract" a box will pop up asking you to choose the location. The default location is the directory that you are currently in. You can change this if you wish.]

Now the selected zip file is completely extracted to the location you have selected.
