Sony Ericsson has launched its latest Android smartphone Xperia X8 in the Indian Markets. Later, the Xperia was launched in June 2010 in Singapore. The Xperia X8 is also coming with the same standards as its predecessors have, ie which is positioned slightly below the Xperia X10 range (which includes the flagship Xperia X10, the X10 Mini and the Mini PRO) has been priced just under the Rs. 14k mark (Rs.13,990) to be precise. Sony Xperia X8 comes with a larger 3.0 inch scratch resistance capacitive screen with a higher 320x480 resolution. Xperia X8 also have the multimedia features like GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS HSPA 900/2100 and UMTS HSPA 800/850/1900/2100 and also the feature to enable the user to upload photographs directly to Facebook. Sony Xperia X8 runs on Google Android 1.6 operating system. The phone comes with 128 MB of internal memory and supports memory expansion using microSD cards. There is a 3.5 mm jack as well. The video camera can only record videos in VGA resolution at 30 FPS.
