Maruti Suzuki To Launch A-Star Automatic at Rs 4.35 lakh



Maruti Suzuki has launched its automatic variant with its new KB engine series debut with the Maruti Suzuki A-star in India. The Maruti Suzuki Astar, new variant A2 segment is priced at Rs 4.35 lakh ex showroom, Delhi.The Indian Automatic A-Star is going to get the same 4-speed auto transmission  was launched earlier and featured a new generation engine spelling fuel efficiency.



"The A-star automatic customer will be able to enjoy an enhanced 360 degree driving experience," the company said in a statement. "The 4-speed automatic transmission will help drivers glide effortlessly through city traffic, without gear shifts and also superior fuel efficiency of 17 km / litre." The A-star automatic is powered by Suzuki's 998cc K-series engine equipped with advanced A-shift technology.



The A-Star Automatic transmission will be available in VXi trim. It comes with Suzuki KB10 MPFI Petrol Engine with a displacement of 998cc, 3cylinder and 12 valve. The engine has a maximum power of 67 BHP@6200 RPM while maximum torque is 90NM @3500 RPM.



The automatic transmission of A-Star has six modes- P, R, N, D, 3, 2 and L. It has a fuel efficiency of 17 kmpl rated by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).



Its internal features include- power windows, power steering, CD/MP3 player, automatic and height adjustable driver seat.Safety features include ventilated Disk brakes in front, drum brakes in rear, McPherson Strut and coil spring suspension in front and isolated trailing link and coil spring suspension in rear. The car has gas filled shock absorbers and 13 inch tubeless radial tyres.
