Seiko's has just unveiled thier new watch maker's project in developing watch based on Electronic Ink technology.EPD watch sports an active-matrix E-ink display, giving you 180 degrees of visibility for better viewing angles. This watch sports 80,000 pixels, all of which are fully capable of displaying four shades of grey. Seiko’s new e-ink watch offers a 80,000 pixel Active Matrix EPD display with 300dpi resolution and four-shade grey scale. The new technology is also power-saving, that the watch requires just 1/100th of the power needed to run a same sized display using the current e-Book technology.
