Hyundai,the Korean company has going to introduce 2011 Sonata Hybrid at the New York Aot show.2011 Sonata features a GDI technology and a turbocharger combined, both part of “Hyundai Blue Drive,” the company’s environmental initiative to continue industry leadership in fuel efficiency and sustainability.With the reduced-lag twin-scroll turbocharger, the car manages 22mpg in the city, and 34mpg on the highway.
The twin-scroll turbocharger design has several other advantages overtraditional, single-scroll turbocharging systems, including:
* Improved combustion efficiency
* Low engine-speed efficiency
* Kinetic exhaust gas energy is not wasted or trapped
* Cooler cylinder temperatures
* Lower exhaust temperatures
* Leaner air/fuel ratio
The 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T features a 2.0-litre Theta II turbo engine with GDI (gasoline direct injection) that is capable of producing 274 HP and 269 lb-ft of torque from 1,800 to 4,500 rpm.The 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T which will be available in SE and Limited trim levels is still able to return an estimated 34 mpg highway and 22 mpgcity.On the 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T Limited customers get a panoramic roof, 18 inch silver alloys, a dual exhaust system and paddle shifters for the 6-speed automatic transmission.
